An Afro-Greek fights hard to make life better and preserve environment in Africa. We all can help now!
Save Africa’s Nature is a non-profit company registered in Tanzania. It works to consolidate efforts for those who share similar values of love and respect for Nature.
SANA was established by Costa Coucoulis who is also the managing director of the Eco-Friendly Saadani Safari Lodge. Costa, who is of Greek origin, was born in Bujumbura- Burundi where his family had moved to from Greece since the 1920’s. His passion and love of Nature and respect to people and their culture drove Costa to fall in love with Saadani while he was visiting as part of his travels around Africa. It is in Saadani- North-eastern Tanzania, that eventually SANA started to work then expanding to the villages nearby.
SANA’s work has been enabled by the generous support of different people from different parts of the world. The projects that SANA is currently involved in includes community involvement in sustainable charcoal production, provision of solar energy, Medical assistance, sponsoring of children in Education, bio gas, conservation of a spiritual area, entrepreneurship and construction of a dispensary.
These programs are still ongoing and support through donations is very much needed to enable their achievements. As one of SANA’s philosophy says ‘Through Actions visions can be made possible’ please do help in enabling SANA and communities involved to preserve Nature and its inhabitants.
